partnership with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
In
November 1999, Tri Delta formed a partnership with St. Jude Children's
Research
Hospital
in
Memphis
,
Tennessee.
Since 1962, St. Jude has help to bring survival rates for childhood
cancers from less than 20% to more than 70%.
Through our partnership, Tri Delta nationally has raised millions of
dollars in order to help improve clinical research at St. Jude.
In September 2002, Tri Delta's Executive Board agreed to a four-year,
million dollar commitment to St. Jude Children's
Research
Hospital
. Chapter members across the globe raised a total of $1.3 million in three
years, one year ahead of schedule. This project helped fund the Teen
Room at St. Jude. The Teen Room is a place for teenagers at St. Jude
to have a place away from their rooms, somewhere to go in order to hang
out with other people their age.
10 in 10 for St. Jude
Nationally,
Delta Delta Delta has committed to name the Patient Care Floor in the new
Chili's Care Center at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This
commitment is for $10 million over a period of 10 years!
Tri
Delta members worldwide have already raised over $2.5 million towards our
10 in 10 goal.

Mu's Efforts

Frat's
at Bat
Frats
at Bat is
our annual philanthropy held in the fall. This two day event is open
to all fraternities, starting with a home-run derby followed by a softball
tournament.

Letter Writing Campaign
A
letter writing campaign is completed prior to the Frats at Bat tournament.
Each sorority member volunteers to write 50 letters asking for donations
to help further the crucial research being completed at St. Jude.
